CASE
STUDIES
1. During Hurricane Katrina a major
seaport operated by a Port Authority sustained significant damage.
It was evident that the insurance program for the Port Authority
needed significant review and overhaul. After a Request for Proposal
put out by the Port Authority CRM was selected for the task. As a
result of the work and recommendations of CRM coverage was
substantially improved, coverage was doubled and the cost was
reduced by more than half a million dollars.
2. A municipality had been without
insurance for more than 20 years. They were encumbered with
significant liability claims with no reserves to cover the potential
liabilities. CRM was selected to conduct a risk assessment, make
recommendations, and handle a Request for Proposal process for
broker and insurance selection. The municipality is now serviced by
a competent broker with a comprehensive insurance and risk financing
program in place.
